Your home exercise plan: what happens between appointments?
Your rehabilitation plan is tailored to your assessment, current ability and goals. Where appropriate, I provide a home exercise programme through Rehab Guru, with instructions, repetitions or timings to help you practise between appointments.
Start with your prescribed plan
Follow the exercises and guidance agreed in your appointment. More is not always better: your starting plan should fit your current ability and response. If an instruction is unclear, contact the clinic rather than guessing or copying a different programme online.
Bring your experience to your review
Make a note of what feels manageable, what is difficult and any concerns. At booked follow-ups we discuss your progress, review technique where suitable and adjust the programme. Your plan may change as your strength, confidence and goals develop.
Your digital care
Home exercise plans and exercise prescriptions are delivered through Rehab Guru. Clinical notes are stored online in Cliniko, with information handled confidentially under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. See the clinic privacy policy for details.
Support that fits your needs
An initial rehabilitation appointment is booked separately. The number of follow-ups depends on your assessment and progress; some people need only one. An optional follow-up package is discussed only when appropriate. Some later exercises may need equipment or gym access, and we discuss that with you first.
This article explains how the clinic works; your individual assessment and exercise instructions guide your care.
